Kununu - Digital Kick Off Event
As one of the most respected portals for employer rating, kununu`s own employees are the companies most important stakeholder. Because of this, it is essential to cultivate good relationships with them. The annual internal Kick-Off is an important event that helps with the internal alignment, preparing for upcoming challenges, and strengthening the bonds between the employees and the employer.

Challenge
Due to the pandemic, the Kick-Off Event, which is usually a physical gathering, had to be transformed into the digital sphere without sacrificing the fun and the emotional bonding. The task at hand was the conception, design, coordination and execution of the entire event.
Solution & Challenges
In close contact with kununu`s internal communication manager Sonja Pankow, we drafted a concept with strong storytelling, including graphical assets.
To get everybody excited for the 2021 Kick-Off, we set up a zoom background challenge where the participants were asked to create their own background. Also, did the participants receive a package that included a customized notebook with space for thoughts and an ergonomic seat pillow.
Training & Execution
Moderator training and helping with the moderation script ensured that the moderator was well prepared and ready for the stage. On the day of the event, we supported the live stream and took care of the technical requirements.
The event itself was filled with different formats such as break-out sessions and sessions in the plenum that made sure to keep the participants engaged and focused. Fun evening sessions and stimulating breaks were also part of the program.
Results &
Conclusion
We successfully engaged with the over 120 Kununu members located all around Europe in a 2-day digital Kick-Off event. A strong team spirit was built while preparing for 2021 challenges.
